Back DIRECTIVES Identify the Sin: We need to realize that we have sinned against God either in neglecting the duties given in Covenant to us, or willfully rebelling against His Commandment. We are at best sinfully prideful and arrogant. This we must see in order to go on to the next step. Identification of this sin, however, cannot be of the mind only . It cannot be a "ho-hum, I am a sinner" kind of identification. It must be experiential. There is no other way. God Himself must infuse the reality of our wretchedness upon us so we see with the eyes of Spiritual reality, that we are by nature anti Christ in much that we do. Confession: We must then confess that we are pride-fully sinful. Again, we cannot give "lip service" to God. It must be an earnest, Divinely orchestrated, confession that we are to blame. Consider God's admonition:
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14 AV) God clearly views His people as practicing wickedness. He calls upon them to be humbled, which by definition is the opposite of being prideful. Only then will God remove the sanctions of accursedness and heal the land. Repentance: Repentance is a sincere, God-inspired sorrowing. This must precede all else after the sin has been internalized. Without repentance there can be no forgiveness.

Reformation: We then, by the Grace of God review afresh His Holy Will. We must carefully look to the Word and see what God will have us to do. Restitution: According to God's Law, restitution must be made for all rebellions against the Holy Will of God. Restitution is "making right the wrong". We must systematically correct those areas where we have erred, beginning with our own person. Then we make restitution in our families, churches, community, and nation. Without "righting the wrongs" there will be no healing. This is a Biblical rule of God's Law. Revival: Amidst this time of Confession, Repentance, Reformation and Restitution, there will be Revival. God will be faithful to His promises. He will move us to this desired end as He wills in us, both the will and to do of His good pleasure. What will you do? Shall we sit idly by and silent in the face of such a plague, or shall we act? I know not what course others may take, but as for me and my house, we shall serve the LORD.
